Young women on the beach
Chances are you won't be able to tell if you have chlamydia unless you get tested. Up to 90% of women and 70% of men never show any symptoms. That's why it's important to get your free test kit.
Women who develop symptoms may experience cervical or vaginal discharge, painful urination and pain when having sex.
Men with symptoms often experience mucus discharge from the penis and/or a burning sensation during urination.
Gonorrhea and trichomoniasis can cause similar symptoms, however, just like chlamydia, a person may be infected and not have any symptoms. You should consider getting a test for gonorrhea and trichomoniasis when you get tested for chlamydia.
