It’s easy to make sure you’re healthy with your free test kit.
To perform the swab self-test, you will need to be undressed from the waist down. You will need to be able to be in a position where you can comfortably insert a swab into your vagina. (Sitting on the toilet seat or standing with one foot on a chair are good positions.)
The test kit is safe for pregnant women and effective when you’re having your period.
Instructions:
Take the swab out of the sealed package and the plastic tube.
Insert the white tip of the swab about one inch inside the opening of your vagina and rotate it around for about 15 seconds, making sure that it touches the walls of the vagina so that moisture is absorbed into the swab.
Remove the swab from your vagina and place back into the tube, closing it securely.
Place the tube in the provided package and send it back to us by placing it in any mailbox.
Call for your results in one week. If you are found to be infected with chlamydia, we'll guide you to a location near you where you can get treatment for free.
Please fill out the questionnaire and include it with the swab, or fill it out on this website.

Thank you for participating. Don’t forget to call us in two weeks at the phone number on the contact form included in your kit for your results. You will need your kit number and your special password.

Illinois participants: to obtain your results, please call 217-782-2747 Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

This screening program does not substiture for regular gynecologic visits with your health care provider. This screening is not the same thing as a Pap smear, an important screening test for cervical cancer.
