If you're sexually active, it's important to get tested for chlamydia.
40 percent of women with untreated chlamydia infections develop Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID). One in five women with PID becomes infertile because of the damage PID does to the reproductive organs.
If you're pregnant, it's especially important to get tested. Babies who are born to infected mothers can get chlamydial infections in their eyes and respiratory tracts, leading to early infant pneumonia and conjunctivitis (pink eye). And there is some evidence that untreated chlamydia infections can lead to premature delivery.
In any instance, getting tested is the only way to be sure you're healthy. Get your free test kit today!
